dixie yure is the incarnation of contemporary oldschool house music from seville. after some digital only releases it is about time for some haptic experience. with the 10“ record „show me satisfaction“ on berlin-based label fenou his sound is rotating on turntables for the first time. monotonous minimalism ain’t dixie yures world. the sound tends more towards 2step and builds a homogeneous and pleasant mixture with classical house elements and vocal parts. you just cant deny yourself dancing the >chicken dance< and stepping like hell! thanks to the funky improvisations extending over the whole track you wont get bored even after listening to >show me< for the hundredth time. the a-side is just fun - in the club as well as on your couch. you wont miss the low-pitched vocals on the b-side either as they are typical for the spanish producer. >satisfaction< is a little more reduced than >show me< but is enhanced with jazz elements such as pianos and saxophones. it shows that wind instruments in electronic music dont have to be annoying tribal elements. in this example acoustic instruments do not just get mixed up with house music but merge to one groove – absolutely rocking tune!

once again another masterpiece from the dynamic reflection squad in your face! this time its from the uk monster voidloss. the title track acteon is already an oldy and paul felt in love with it a long time ago. it was already digital released in 2007, but we asked voidloss if he wanted to see this on pure gold as well... and of course he wanted that! so why dont we put up an whole ep with more dancefloor killers of this man? grovskopa is always capable of delivering good remixes and so he did. this time something a little bit different then what you expect, but with this track he shows us what an open mind he has on techno. rolling crunchy basslines and smooth pads bring this track in a perfect vibe to set the tone for the night. moment of total emptiness is a more deeper and hypnotic tune, but will definitely bang your head on the dancefloor. mr. a. paul is going for the rework and came up with a really great uplifting and oldschool touch. perfect tool to use in your dj sets! all n all a superior release by this uk studio wizard. lets pray for more of this pure quality stuff and keep our eyes on the the future. the scene need more labels like this which reflects the current techno movement and promises loads more of that sweet stuff in days to come.. dynamic reflection will represent only the true spirit of pure techno, they will put only the quality stuff back on the dancefloor!

nice price deal !!! prinzhorn dance school announce their return with new single – >seed, crop, harvest.< we havent heard a thing from tobin prinz and suzi horn for three years (their debut lp was released on dfa back in 2007) but theyve been far from work-shy. they toured extensively, then came home and built their own bespoke recording studio (the red shed) – and learned how to use it. time consuming endeavors which saw them drop off the music radar. which might just explain the title of the equally charged b-side >off the radar, off the system<. in their own words: >weve been busy. just not busy making records. you have to live too. you can only write so many songs about motorway service stations and airports<. they recorded and mixed both songs themselves in the red shed, with bob weston taking on mastering duties. …prinzhorn dance school are back! and dfa could not be more proud
